8 ways to purify your aura
Keeping our aura clean means finding ways to eliminate negative energies that can cloud our vision and our deep, innate wisdom. The world is a messy place, there are lots of different energies flowing around and even for the most spiritually awakened person, it is all too easy for your aura to become drained, muddled or bogged down by a million outside influences. Finding ways to incorporate aura cleansing into your self-care routine can take you out of your routine and help keep your spirits up. Here are eight ways to cleanse your aura...
1. Dive into the water
One of the easiest ways to cleanse your aura is to immerse yourself in water. Physically cleansing and emotionally cleansing, our lakes, streams and oceans hold a profound power to purify the body and soul. Being in nature's water allows the world to bathe your aura and neutralize negativity.
2. Wear crystals
Exposing yourself to the environment means exposing yourself to all kinds of energies (positive and negative). These energies directly influence our behavior and our health. They are generally beneficial but can also harm our well-being. The aura is a reflection of the body's vital energies. A true vehicle of energy, it captures and transmits essentially positive waves, which can directly influence our physical and emotional state. Certain natural stones and minerals help protect the aura, to block and repel negative waves, the sources of all evil.
3. Purify your soul
Just as you can cleanse negative energy from your home and your crystals, you can also do this for your soul and aura. Sage, juniper, and lavender are three of the best herbs for cleansing. Simply light your stick, breathe deeply with intention, and begin going over the body inch by inch, visualizing all the negative energy moving away.
4. Soak up the sunlight
Another way to beautifully neutralize negative energy is to go out into the bright, warm sun. The sun has super healing powers, and its pure, purifying light is able to simply wash away the darkest thoughts of the day.
5. Give yourself to nature
Sometimes all we need in life is to get out and walk the hills. Whether it's a long hike or a short stroll, finding yourself in nature - a beach, the forest, the mountains, can be completely healing for the soul. Let the birdsong, fresh air and light wash away the pollution of the modern world, leaving you connected again to our most primal senses.
6. Meditation
Meditation and visualization are both powerful tools for releasing negative energies. Meditation can also be used as a preventative method, as a common practice will reduce bad vibrations from staying with you. Whether you have five minutes a day or five hours, take time to sit down, clear your mind, and purify yourself through meditation.
Find a quiet place to sit for five minutes and do gentle breathing exercises. With each inhalation, imagine that you are bringing clean, bright air into your body and with each exhalation, imagine that the negative whirlwind of emotions is released. Imagine that a bright white light surrounds you, excluding the darkness, and keeping your aura bathed in brilliant clarity.
If you don't live near wild places to swim, you can always turn to water to cleanse your soul. Take a healing bath and fill it with essential oils, medicinal herbs and even flowers to achieve a natural cleanse. Rose petals, lavender oils, and Himalayan sea salts are all great additions for cleansing the aura.
7. Practice self-love
Constantly practicing self-love will help you stay soft and nourished, no matter the negative energies flying around. Daily affirmations, visualizations, changing your inner dialogue, and working with crystals are all ways to weave more self-love into your world.
8. Look at those around you
If you want to keep your aura cleansed and clear, then take a look at your surroundings and opt to spend time with people who bring light and energy into your world. If you are in environments that are negative and tend to be a drain, chances are you struggle to keep your aura clean more often than those who surround themselves with love and light.
