End 2020 with these New Year Rituals
2020 is coming to a close, but before we celebrate the end of the year, it's important to make time for some very important New Year's Eve rituals. Spending a little extra time now will serve you well in the year to come!
The last days before a new year is the time to wrap up any unfinished business, tie up loose ends, and close the door on things of the past. So, in the spirit of the end of the year, we've created an energy checklist to make sure you're ready for 2021.
Complete your energetic chores
- Clean your house! Sweep your space to rid your home of any pent-up energy.
- Change your sheets. This gesture allows you to physically and symbolically cleanse the energy of your bed, where you spend a lot of time!
- Pay your bills (as much as you can). This way, you can make a fresh start in the financial field in 2021.
- Complete any unfinished projects. Have you procrastinated or put something on hold? Are there any items left on your to-do list? It's time to finish your personal or professional projects.
- Gaining energetic closure. While you can't hash out every argument or miscommunication, you can find closure on your end. Allow yourself to find forgiveness for yourself and others so that you can move forward and leave the emotional baggage behind.
Saying goodbye to 2020 with a crystal practice
Now that you have set the stage for the new year, all that remains is one final crystal practice. For this end-of-year crystal ritual, you will need a crystal of your choice. You will be gifting this crystal to the Earth, so we recommend choosing one that you are willing to part with.
Free your crystal. This symbolic gesture lets the universe know that you are ready to let go and move on. Leave the past in the past and prepare for whatever the future holds. By leaving your crystal behind, you are also leaving behind anything that no longer serves you.
There are several different ways to offer your crystal to the Earth. If you live near a body of water, you can throw your crystal into the water. You can also bury your crystal in the ground, either outside in nature or even if you have a houseplant.
