But what exactly are chakras and how do they affect your physical and emotional well-being ?

In this page we will take a closer look at the main chakras. We will also explain the impact these energy centers can have on your body and mind, as well as how to keep them "open" to promote physical, mental and emotional well-being.

What are chakras?

In Sanskrit, the word "chakra" means "disc" or "wheel" and refers to the energy centers of your body. These wheels or disks of rotating energy each correspond to certain nerve bundles and major organs.

To function at their best, your chakras must remain open, or balanced. If they are blocked, you may experience physical or emotional symptoms related to a particular chakra.
